S21 Ultra overheating after One UI 4.0 update

After I installed the official release of One UI 4.0, my device has been overheating. The phone stutters and overheats while doing the most basic things. It gets extremely hot when I charge the phone, use the cameras or play games. I used to play CODM on max settings but now it stutters and overheats (even while I lowered the in-game frame rate and graphics to medium and low, respectfully)

Should I have done something after the update or is it just because of the new software and will these issues be fixed in upcoming software releases?

Hi, Armiel kindly optimize your device.

1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Battery and device Care.
4. Tap Optimize now.

If the issue persists, please perform a soft reset of your device.

Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for about 10 seconds.

*The device may take a screenshot, however, keep holding the buttons for a few more seconds.

The only other peculiarity is that after updating to One UI 4.0, only Samsung stock apps like settings and phone have the option to keep the apps open

Prior to the update, I could keep any app open in the background - not just the factory apps

Is there a fix for this so that I can continue keeping third-party apps open in the backround?Screenshot_20211202-112248_One UI Home.jpgScreenshot_20211202-112253_One UI Home.jpgScreenshot_20211202-112242_One UI Home.jpgScreenshot_20211202-112238_One UI Home.jpg

Hi Tsogo, sorry cant direct message you. Hi Tsogo,I need some help with a samsung Zflip 3 ,I was told by telkom that I will get the smart tag and the Galaxy buds 2. I claimed it on the members app and telkom fails to give me a proper contract proof,I only received a delivery note, and I struggle with samsung to accept this note. Is there a way you can help me?It will be appreciated thanks.

I got my S21 Ultra from MTN in January. It came with the pre-order gifts including a SmartTag and Galaxy Buds Pro. In order to successfully redeem your gifts you need to provide proof of purchase to samsung. You'll need to take a picture (I took a picture of my MTN invoice and it was accepted) If you don't already have an invoice for the device, perhaps try contacting Telkom so that they can issue you with a copy.

Hi, Pierre44mp apologies for the inconvenience, I understand that Telkom is advising that they are unable to assist regarding the invoice and in all honesty, they are supposed to provide one to you, kindly email verify@samsung.com for further advice.

Hi @Tsogo,
Would the soft reset remove my phone data and app data from my phone?

I do not want to lose any data or restart afresh but I would like to try the solution you have provided because I am experiencing the exact issue @Armiel mentioned.

I am using an s21 ultra.
