S21 Ultra - When I restart I to recovery mode I am not able to Reboot To Bootloader. There is an error message at the bottom of the screen that says "error updating for slotselect".

This causes me to not enter Download Mode. I tried resetting the entire phone and wiped data 3 times. Nothing has helped. This likely happened after update to Android 12. Please help!

Dear Samsung Customer,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.

If your screen is showing in tiny text Android Recovery - you'll need to be careful. It's not recommended to use this mode at all, but if you are stuck here and need to get out, follow the instructions:

1. Use the Volume Up or Volume Down button to highlight the option Reboot system now.
2. Press the Power button to confirm the selection.

To get out of Download Mode:
If your device is stuck on a page that says Downloading.. you'll need to press and hold both the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time, for 7 seconds.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback>Error Report).

Thank you for writing to us.
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support.

Does Samsung even read the gist of the issues before answering? It obvious they do not. Your reply to this gentleman's issue has nothing to do with what he asked. Since Android 12 was installed no one can wipe the system cache without getting this error. What everyone needs to know is how to CORRECT THIS ERROR. Myself like everyone else in this thread clear our cache on a regular basis. This needs to be addressed with a real answer and not some boilerplate reply.

Planned, purposeful, obsolescence. I'm so over being a sheep.

Yeah, that's really not an acceptable answer. We are your clients which make us kind of your boss(es) than you think about it. Instead of telling us what we shouldn't be doing when it literally only takes a quick Google search to look up and find out how to get into - what's pretty much useless within - your download mode settings, how about Samsung comes up with an appropriate answer to what is obviously planned obsolescence within all of its products?

I've been a loyal (or perhaps moronic 🤔) customer for over 20 years. I've spent probably tens of thousands on your phone that eventually always lag and breakdown. I have an expensive curved TV that you won't even send an updates for anymore. My refrigerator makes so much noise it sounds like a demon monster it's also made by your brand and I won't even get into the epileptic seizures I get from opening my stove with the endlessly blinking light and the microwave above it that's as loud as the demon monster refrigerator.

Welcome to inflation and recession where people will no longer be okay with planned obsolescence and companies like Samsung end up getting bought out or sold off in pieces as they continue to ignore their customers asking for help and getting responses like the unhelpful one above, or worse, those all of the internet telling everyone to take their expensive phones and factory reset them to make them work again.

Not ok. Not acceptable. So.over.it.

f*c* you Samsung. Why even f@$#k#$g bother making a support site!? When you only reply with Facebook-tier copypasta!? It's obvious you didn't read the post before posting an "answer" yet you're happy to take a paycheck from Sansung to help them further screw customers by posting this garbage reply.  You are as culpable as Samsung -- yes YOU support person reading this -- F$$%# Y$# PERSONALLY Now stop reading this and get back to helping Samsung **bleep**$! all over customers. I don't want you to lose your job and a paycheck and become homeless which obviously would happen as you are completely incompetent and doing anything productive for society.  Less damage will be done to the world if you stay put in your b#]]**bleep**!t job.
