S20 FE 5G (SD865); No Android 14 update

I had a conversation with one Samsung Executive regarding the Android 14 based on One UI 6 update and they clearly said that the S20 fe 5g will not be receiving it. When I asked them about the promise for 3 years of major software updates they said that Since, Samsung promised 3 years of OS update what they meant is that:

One update is pre-installed: So in S20 FE 5g user cases the phone came out of the box with Android 11, so that was counted as one OS Update already. 

Remaining Two updates are Andoird 12 and Android 13 which we received, Android 13 was final update.

But, what the customers thought is 

A11- Out of the box

A12- 1st year update

A13- 2nd year update

A14- 3rd year update (final update)

They should have made this clear initially in a more customer known manner. The phone launched at a price tag of INR. 50000, One practical user invests such money so that they can use the phone for 4 years maximum, I got this phone in April End 2022, it has been barely two years and I will not be getting any major software updates, and Samsung is yet, presently selling this model, seal packed.

U almost used 2 years ...here in my case I bought it on Oct 2023 brand new only 2 to 3 months and no update...it's my fault for not doing research before buying..but I never knew a 2020 phone will be still on sale till today.

No, they launched it in Indian market, almost 1 and a half year later than they did in the USA market, in Q3 2021.

It's still running smooth but one more update will be good for s20fe users

So it is a 2022 phone sale in 2024, same will be the scenario with 21 fe SD 888 Variant in coming one year
