S10 Lite C type to HDMI(universal)not connecting to TV

Hi All,

I bought a Samsung S10 Lite. I have a universal(HP brand) C type to HDMI converter to connect to my TV. This works fine on my laptop C type port and woks fine when I connect Samsung S8 to my TV. However when I connect Samsung s10 Lite to my TV, it is not recognized. Not sure if I am doing it right or if there is an issue with the phone. When I try to connect my phone to my laptop, I am able to access all the files. Any help will be appreciated.

Output via MHL cable and hdmi adapter is supported in flagships only. S10 lite is not flagship.

So I guess the Samsung Galaxy S10 lite is the **bleep** child of the Galaxy family? Nice! The price tag doesn't reflex that. Oh well, returning and going for the S20 then.
