Hello Samsung Community,

I’ve been a long-time user of Samsung’s Galaxy S series, and I’ve noticed a concerning trend with my devices, including the S20+, S7 Edge, and now the S23+. Each time a new model is released, like the recent S24, my current phone starts to experience heating issues, and it seems to slow down.

This pattern has been consistent over the years, and I can’t help but wonder if others have experienced the same with their devices. It’s a bit disheartening to see a flagship phone, which was once the pinnacle of technology, struggle after a new model arrives.

I’m curious to hear from the community. Have you faced similar issues with your Galaxy phones after a new launch? How do you deal with these performance changes? Let’s share our experiences and tips for maintaining our devices’ longevity.

Looking forward to a constructive discussion.

Same issue here. After Feb 2024 security patch update my S22 ultra is heating up and battery drains very fast. However try draining the battery to 0. Let the phone go completely dead and recharge it again. I see some improvements post this.

Haven't observed such things recently. Yes prior to S9 series there were many such complaints but recently things have calmed down.
