It is better to keep in defualt setting that is "Wake Bixby" when we press the power button. If the mobile is stolen the person can not switch off the phone because it wakes up the bixby which prevents the phone to turn off. If we really want to switch of the mobile then we have to change the setting to power off menu. To do this Go to settings -> Advance Features -> Side Button. In this we have wake Bixby and power off menu options. Hope samsung will make an option to ask security when the mobile is trying to switch off ..in future🙂 #PreventingPowerOffWithOutUnlockS24Ultra #S24UltraPowerOffSecurity

If you have password/pattern on your phone any of this won't be necessary. When device is locked and someone tries to switch it off, it would ask for the password. This feature is in oneui 5 and above

Its not working in S24U.. even the phone is locked and tries to switch off the mobile it shows power menu options.. and even if i pull down the notification bar and it gives permission to switching off wifi.. mobile data and all. Its not asking for password or pattern.

It does show power menu option but try clicking power off when the device is locked. It won't turn off. For switching off mobile data, yes this needs to be fixed. I had oneplus and that too used to not let me turn it off without password after locking it in settings. But yes, i can confirm you can't switch off without password. Tried and tested myself

Ohh...i just now checked and even turning of wifi doesn't let me do it when my device is locked. You probably didn't turn up the settings. Honestly i don't remember me doing that in samsung cause if so I would have remembered so I guess it's a default inbuilt software setting

Just incase you have face unlock enabled, try it with the screen facing the ceiling so that your phone is not unlocked. That way you would be able to see this feature
