Galaxy SSame issue
SM-G986B/DS UI 5.0
All photo apps rotate images. Editing image to rotate photo, rotates whole screen display. With or without autorotate on.
Reset cache and deleted data on default camera app.
There seems to be no way to resolve this within the settings of the phone or app and is specifically a fault of the software update.
Another update has been released since which did not appress the issue.
Very annoying that a software update deprecates the functionality of an otherwise amazing phone.

Galaxy Smy s20 plus got the same problem, reset the phone and its good to go for a day or two. clear the phone cache from boot menu /recovery menu, did not help at all . so did some digging and find out not my camera app, but also all camera apps do the same thing. it became clear it's not the camera apps problem. long story short, Y & Z data in accelerometer somehow become flipped/inverted and the phone thinks held upside down.for showing the problem, open diagnostic menu with *#0*#, go to sensors and you can find the data. here, I got a picture from my s20 plus 5g model g986b/ds next to Samsung s7 model g930f. you can see the problem
before you ask, no its not normal for s20 to do that, that's why photos and videos got flipped.for showing that, restart the s20 and take the same photo again
now they look the same, see?
this problem start after the last update and it is super annoying. hope someone from Samsung team sees this and fix the problem.
thank you

Galaxy SThis strangely worked for me, at least for now. Will reply if it regresses.
