I'm using an S23 Ultra. I'm not a gamer or heavy user. I charge my phone up to 85%. It's now almost 3.5 years old. I'm charging it three times a day, and even with normal use, the phone gets very hot, reaching up to 42°

Quick note for help:
Since your S23 Ultra, technically it's not yet 3 and a half years (released in early 2023), but if you're feeling this deterioration in battery and heat:
Battery: Your arrival at three charges a day means that “battery health” It often deteriorated, or there is an app that drains power in the background.
Temperature (42°): This degree is considered high for normal use, and may be the cause of rapid battery consumption.
Have you considered checking the battery status via the Samsung Members app to check if it needs replacement?

Bro, everything is normal. What I found is that One UI and social media apps are not optimized on Samsung, and that's what's causing the issue. Samsung should focus on optimizing its software rather than providing useless quick fixes.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

We understand your concern regarding battery performance and device temperature. Over time, battery efficiency may gradually decrease depending on usage patterns, charging cycles, installed applications, and background activities.

Kindly try the following steps to help improve performance and reduce heating:

  1. Ensure the device is updated to the latest software version.
  2. Close unused background applications.
  3. Check battery usage through:
Settings > Battery > Battery usage
  4. Disable unnecessary features such as Bluetooth, GPS, or Always On Display when not needed.
  5. Test the device in Safe Mode to check if third-party applications are affecting performance.

Kindly note that device temperature may temporarily increase while using social media applications, video streaming, or during background synchronization.

If the issue continues after performing the steps above, kindly visit the nearest authorized service center for device inspection:

Thank you for your question.

Samsung does not generally provide free service for all cases, as service eligibility depends on several factors such as:

  • Device warranty status
  • Type of issue (manufacturing defect vs. physical or accidental damage)
  • Proof of purchase and purchase date
  • Regional warranty terms and conditions

When service may be free:

  • If the device is within the valid warranty period
  • If the issue is confirmed as a manufacturing defect
  • If it is covered under an active promotion or Care+ plan (if applicable)

When charges may apply:

  • Physical or liquid damage
  • Out-of-warranty devices
  • Accidental damage or misuse
