Galaxy SI am also very surprised that when the “Maximum privacy protection” option is activated, the display appears significantly brighter not only when viewed from the front, but also from the sides, and the color saturation is reduced or flattened. This effect is not visible in Samsung's official product showcase videos or in various other videos (e.g., https://youtu.be/BmAM7mygKp0). Could this be a bug? I would like to see this fixed, otherwise I am very disappointed with the feature.
For more in-depth tests, see https://www.lttlabs.com/articles/2026/03/01/samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra-privacy-display.

Galaxy SThank you for contacting Samsung and for sharing your detailed feedback regarding the Maximum Privacy Display feature on your Galaxy S26 Ultra.
We understand your concern regarding the white shadow effect appearing when the feature is enabled. In some cases, visual changes may occur due to the way the privacy display technology limits viewing angles to enhance screen privacy.
We recommend ensuring that your device software is updated to the latest version by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install, as updates may include improvements related to device features and performance.
Your feedback is important and helps improve future updates and device performance.

Galaxy SThank you for your follow-up and for sharing your experience regarding the Maximum Privacy Display feature on your Galaxy S26 Ultra. We understand your concern about not yet receiving a software update related to this matter.
Please note that software updates are typically released in phases and may reach devices at different times depending on the region, device model, and network compatibility. As a result, some devices may receive updates earlier than others.
In the meantime, we recommend ensuring that your device is set to receive the latest available updates by following these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Software update.
- Select Download and install to check for any available updates.
Additionally, please make sure that:
- Your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
