My son installed OneUi7 on his Galaxy S24 Ultra. During the install his phone just went blank. We try to boot, nothing! He now sits with a R30K useless brick. What a mess!

Yeah take it to a Service Center. I would have suggested if the phone could still get into download mode, then you would be able to manually install it (while losing all the data inside the phone since this method is a 'start from scratch' typa thing) but with all the One UI 7 hurdles, it's probably better to just take it to them.

Haven't tried it myself, but maybe try using Samsungs smart switch desktop apps 'emergance software recovery'PC3DQ8uTK2.jpg

Better they do it cause if they find something untoward then they will void warranty

I cant see how a broken software update could void a warranty, unless the software was side loaded from an unofficial source or something on the phone was changed to force the install before it was officially released by Samsung.

Fine print** If anything is under warranty, return it to the OEM and they will sort you out. Easier than F'ing around and finding out.
