I updated my Galaxy S24 Ultra (international model, CSC: TPA, purchased in UAE and currently using in India) to the official One UI 7 OTA update.
After the update, the phone failed to boot — it would get stuck on the Samsung logo and not go any further. In recovery logs, I noticed a “Platform Watchdog Reset” and system crash related to DisplayManagerService.
I tried the following steps:
- Cleared cache partition – no improvement
- Erased app data – still stuck
Finally had to do a full factory reset, which thankfully brought the phone back to life but resulted in complete data loss This was a really frustrating experience. I’m posting this to raise awareness and see if anyone else with a similar setup (international variant, TPA CSC) has faced this issue. I hope no other users face this and that Samsung fixes it for others in upcoming updates.
