Iphone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have 2000 Nits peak brightness outdoor as compared to 1750 Nits of S22 Ultra.

Iphone 14 Pro starting price : 130000 - 128 GB base storage in 2022.... lol... atleast 256 GB should be starting point for flagships.

14 Pro Max : 140000

Samsung always giving best technology to competitors and not its Flagship Product.

This is an clear indication that S23 Ultra will have same 2000 Nits brightness outdoor or slightly higher.

Also , anyone of you guys going to sell there S22 Ultra when S23 Ultra launches?

Interesting fact : you can get a round trip tickets to Dubai and stay for 2/3 days and come back with an iPhone and you can still save some 3/4k 🤣

Peak bright is just a gimmick. Sustained brightness is the real deal.

[Anonymous]

There's a weird issue on iphones. As soon as the device warms up, the brightness reduces automatically and even if you increase the brightness, it will again decrease automatically which is very annoying.

[Anonymous]

Ya, that's called brightness throttling. It is a common issue in many iphones.

[Karan087]

iphones throttle way more because apple has optimized ios to react this way.

[Anonymous]

Ya, but the throttling issue is justified even in Android as due to the sunlight the phone will become way too hot which is not good at all for the battery and internals.

[Karan087]

dude when you want to use you phone in sunlight then peak brightness comes in handy and it is not gimmick.

[Anonymous]

Peak brightness is actually a measure of how bright the pixels of the phone can get in measured in candela/area. And mostly how they measure the brightness (nits) in labs is by lightning on some pixels for a few time (NB: Not all pixels can get as high as the shown peak brightness) and what you do get in the sunlight is actually the sustained brightness, which is obviously less than the peak brightness. So, that's how peak brightness is just a gimmick.
