It may show that it is only connected to n78 due to software limitations on devices with X series modems. But it uses carrier aggregation to connect to n28 at the same time. n28 band has better reach so it stays connected up to a km or more in a city environment so handshakes are limited. n78 has lower penetration capabilities so more switches happen while latched onto it.

Here is a thing, these are considered eMBB services, we haven't been able to slice PRBs and utilize every bit of it per mili second. It will be revised in 6G so, it is very unlikely that the calls will happen through n78. Voice calling is a service which doesn't really fall into uRLLC category but it gets higher priority. It utilizes more of the resources.

Dynamic spectrum sharing has been detailed by 3GPP on 3GPP release 17. This is a concept which has been shown to be used on NR-LTE (SA/NSA) combination but we have already been using the same technique in NR to dynamically schedule in between 2-3 NR frequencies from different base stations. Thus it may show it is connected to n78 but it is also likely to be connected to n28 at the same time if a VoIP is initiated. But in this case, VoIP is happening through LTE and the device stays connected to NR by using DSS. In Jio, I have noted a trend that when DSS is in use, the devices connects to n28 primarily. In One UI 6, they have added VoNR which is a service which specifically utilizes the NR service to create a VoIP tunnel. DSS is used in NR itself if needed. No LTE connection is initiated in that case and LTE fallback is also disabled.

@sam77744,

1.> if you are a technical person then why you are mistaking the technical terms? for example you have mentioned "volty" instead of "VOLTE".

2.> @sam77744 & @ Sáyân15, have you guys ever tried a speed test while in a call? if not then do a speed test while in a call and post your results. if you are getting VoNR or Vo5G then you should experience full JioTrue5G speed on that test else if you are experience speed same as LTE or 4G that  means you are not getting VoNR or Vo5G.

I think this above test can clear all the doubts.
