I am pretty sure that you are knowing it. But then also let me provide a solution for the larger Samsung users.

How to check Google Play System Update

1 .Go into settings menu
2.Scroll down to locate security and privacy menu.
3.Tap upon security and privacy menu.
4.Then scroll down and tap on updates.
5.In updates there will be two options

a) Security update
b). Google Play System Update

6.Tap on Google Play System Update
7.See if this provides you the option to download and install updates . You can tap again for checking the availability of Google play system updates.
8.If the download is available you must check the information related to the update. Now if you wish to go ahead please tap on download and install
9.The device will ask for a re-start for completion of downloaded updates
10.You may restart your samsung handset to finish the update

Looks like i was running a November version of the Google play.

I forgot to mention that after successful installation of Samsung security update or Google play system updates you should must check the date of security patch. It will let you to ensure that your device is running on latest security updates.❤
