No. It's what it is as you are thinking.
The s21,22and 23 series will get updated up to android 17 and 5 years of security update.

And update for s22 series has been sent on December. Check the update option in settings.

Factory reset won't help.
I would recommend you wait for one ui6.1 update on June or July month.

Issi duniya mein hai... 1Ui6 has been rolled back/Removed (For those who haven't updated ) due to bugs n issues with display...Even mine showing same 5.1 screenshots attached (for your reference)
