My S8 has been doing this for the past week, My sim is detected but I get no service and a circle with a slash instead of the range indicator. Wifi and Bluetooth work fine. I get back the range indicator if I restart the phone then it goes away. I tried using it in Safe Mode, same issue. Cleared cache partition, nothing. And lastly tried also did a Factory Reset twice. Still same issue. please help, I'm not in the country that I purchased my phone from so please help.

TRY TO Turn on the airplane mode and off again. Also go to network settings and manually search for a network provider. If it shows, then select your SIM card provider name. If not, then necessary repair should be done.

I tried the airplane mode trick, it works very few times then goes back to no service. I can only find other network providers when I get a signal if I select another provider and go back to my service provider nothing happens.

Hi JonDoe297,! As you can only see other network provider and not your sim card provider, there might be a hardware issue. Please visit our nearest Samsung Authorized Service Center in your area.
