Why Shall I Pay to Fix a Problem that Originated from Samsung's own Manufacturing Fault?

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality and service I received from Samsung.
I purchased a Samsung TV in November 2024 from Sharaf DG Dubai for almost USD 2,000. It was delivered in November 2024.
In December 2025, just about 12 months & 25 days after delivery, the TV suddenly developed a vertical line in the middle of the screen — with no damage, no impact, and no misuse. This clearly looks like a manufacturing defect.
I reported the issue on 23 December 2025 to both Sharaf DG and Samsung.

After a two‑month delay, Samsung finally contacted me in February — only to tell me the repair would cost (around AED 2,450) because its just 25 days after the warranty expired,.
Half the price of the TV… for a defect that appeared in just one year.

To make things worse, Samsung then offered me a trade‑in value of AED 30 for the defective TV.
Yes, USD 8 for a product I paid USD 2,000 for, which failed just after the first year.

This is unacceptable for a brand like Samsung.
We buy Samsung for reliability — not for a premium TV to fail within 12 months and then be told to pay half its price to repair it.
I feel completely let down and misled by this experience.
I request Samsung to take responsibility for what appears to be a manufacturing defect and provide a proper solution — either a full repair or a replacement.

I hope you take this matter seriously.
