My Samung Galaxy S20FE Selfie Camera clicks washed out photos!

Hi,

My 7 month old Samsung Galaxy S20 FE mobile selfie camera clicks washed out, dull photos all the time. 

I have a One Plus 9 Pro as well, whose selfie photos come out much better, lively with adequate colour tones, unlike my S20FE. 

Any solution in settings, etc for this? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I have the 5g ver, and not a selfie taker. But yes the front sensor is not good for HDR n detailed shots. Maybe try those filters for front camera, or you can always edit it using remaster option in gallery app.

Thanks Ab, yup editing and filters seem to be the only option to improve the selfie snaps.

Also use screen guard with a punch hole for the camera, as using one without would definitely reduce the sharpness n clarity.👍🏼

Good point. My screen guard unfortunately does'nt have a punch hole, but neither does my One Plus 9 Pro, and the latter takes brilliant selfies!

Yes Ab, let me tinker around with the editing and filters then..only way out. The auto filter gives a better result to the selfie snaps taken. The back camera, on the contrary, takes reasonably good photos.

Turn on 32 Mp selfie shooter rather than the default 3:4..

Well I had the same question whether Samsung purposefully degraded the camera or the selfie camera had the same performance since the launch. Only answer I could get was Samsung had broken the Night Mode feature in Android 12 for S20fe. Whereas the Selfie Camera performance remained like that only.
To fix your Selfie Camera issues you can install Gcam which gave better performance in selfies and other areas too!
