Galaxy SHey fellow Samsung users (and hopefully a Samsung engineer or two sneaking around here),
So here's the deal:
I spent a kidney (well, almost) on theS25 Ultra – expecting it to be the ultimate beast forgaming, multitasking, photography, and probably controlling a Mars Rover someday. And guess what? Italmost lives up to that hype.
I spent a kidney (well, almost) on theS25 Ultra – expecting it to be the ultimate beast forgaming, multitasking, photography, and probably controlling a Mars Rover someday. And guess what? Italmost lives up to that hype.
Except when I try to play BGMI with two fingers. Yes, just two. Not five. Not ten. Just the bare minimum you'd expect tomove and shoot in any shooter game.
The Problem (aka: Welcome to JitterLand)
When I fire upBGMI, PUBG, Call of Duty Mobile or any similar game, and do what any sane gamer does – place two fingers on the screen (let’s say one to move, one to aim) – theentire game screen starts flickering like it’s attending a disco party.
- Map and controls? Totally chill.
- Gameplay visuals? Jumping like a kangaroo on espresso.
- Single finger? Game is smoother than butter on a hot dosa.
- Second finger? Earthquake mode activated.
Tempered Glass on? Flicker Flicker.
Tempered Glass off? Smooth as silk.
Tempered Glass off? Smooth as silk.
Games I’ve Ruined My Mood On
- BGMI
- PUBG (KR version too, just for good measure)
- Call of Duty Mobile
- Likely affects other games that dare use more than one finger.
Things I’ve Tried (aka: My Spiritual Journey)
- Replaced Tempered Glass 4 Times
- From no-name brands to the almighty Spigen Glas.tR.
- Issue persists.
- At this point I’ve supported half of Amazon’s screen protector economy.
- Used No Screen Protector
- Game plays beautifully.
- My soul is happy.
- My screen is terrified.
- Toggled All Display Settings Like a Madman
- Touch Sensitivity ON/OFF
- 60Hz, 120Hz, 1Hz – you name it.
- EdgeTouch via Good Lock – no luck.
- Reset, Safe Mode, Dark Magic
- Factory reset.
- Booted in Safe Mode.
- Prayed to the AMOLED gods.
- Asked Around
- Turns out, I’m not alone.
- Samsung forums, Reddit, Members app – other gamers are also in Flickerland.
Why This Happens (Technical Talk, Slightly Angry)
So here’s the science:
- Samsung’s beautiful AMOLED screen + Touch Digitizer = awesome.
- You slap on a non-UV tempered glass and… boom – ghost touches, signal delays, and multi-touch chaos.
- Why? Because microscopic air gaps mess with the capacitive touch matrix.
- The result? The phone gets confused when it receives two touches. It thinks it’s being attacked by static from another dimension.
- This isn’t the game's fault. It’s touch hardware + protector interference.
So… What Now?
Option 1: Use a Hydrogel Screen Protector
- Ultra-thin, flexible, doesn’t interfere with touch.
- Downsides: It's like bringing a paper shield to a sword fight.
Option 2: Go Naked (Your Screen, I Mean)
- No protector = buttery gameplay.
- But you're one drop away from heartbreak.
Samsung – Are You Listening?
This is theS25 Ultra, not a budget device. We expect flagship-level multitouch accuracy even with a screen protector. Please:
- Acknowledge the issue.
- Push a firmware fix or touch calibration update.
- Recommend compatible screen protectors (maybe even sell one officially?).
- Or at least warn us before we start flickering like we’re in a horror movie.
To Fellow Gamers
If you’re facing this issue:
- Like, comment, tag, raise a support ticket, scream into the void.
- Let’s make enough noise that Samsung hears us over their ultra-silent AirPods competitor.
TL;DR: Want to play BGMI on S25 Ultra? Choose between:
- No protection and no flickering.
- Tempered glass and full-on dance mode.
- Hydrogel if you like softcore protection.
Let’s get this fixed, folks. We paid for a flagship, not a flashlight strobe.
