Try this,
Drain your battery to 15 then charge it to full if it takes more than 1hr please go to a service centre a pin might be broken. Try other type-c earphones if available. Also if this problem started after the update please go to the service centre. There's not much you can do if your earphone jack is heating up. That is a hardware issue & can only be solved by going to a service centre.
