Messaging app read reports

Hi all, initially I used to get delivery as well as read reports right below the text in messaging app in my S22 but then the change in contact name didn't reflect in messages so I force stopped and restarted the app, the contact change reflected immediately but the smart features disappeared. Now the delivery reports come as a seperate message and there is no read receipt. I tried going to the galaxy store and update but there is no current update.

Asking if I can enable the read receipts again?

Delivery msg always comes as a separate notification, at least in my case. I'm using samsung messaging app not the stock one(Google messaging).

Enable sms delivery reports in settings. And enable rcs chat features. Easy.
