@samsung

Dear Samsung Team,
There is a critical security issue in One UI 8. After the recent update, the Secure Folder no longer locks automatically each time the user leaves the app — a feature that was available in previous versions (like One UI 7 and earlier).
This change poses a serious privacy and security risk. The purpose of Secure Folder is to protect sensitive data, but without the “Lock Secure Folder when leaving app” option, the contents remain accessible even after I exit, switch apps, or minimize it. This defeats the main intent of having a “secure” space.
Many users, including myself, depend on Secure Folder to store private documents, photos, and work files. Removing this feature compromises that trust and leaves users exposed to unauthorized access if someone temporarily handles their device.
I kindly request Samsung to restore the “Lock Secure Folder when leaving app” option immediately in upcoming updates, or at least provide an alternative setting that ensures automatic locking upon exit.
This is not just a usability preference — it’s a security necessity.
Sincerely,
[Sarthak Biswal]

This option is only available when the screen is off, not whenever you leave this app.
