Galaxy SUAE
Hello fellow members, unlike the previous years, where the Samsung Care+ used to be offered for 1 or 2 years for free with every purchase of the Ultra devices (I honestly don’t know if the rest also) Samsung this year rolled out a new program, called Galaxy For Life as a loyalty program to keep clients hooked up.
I briefly skimmed over it in my Pre-Order Experience thread, as we didn’t have much information about this new program besides what Samsung published online.
Pre-Order Experience:
I have pasted below at the end of this thread the full details from the Samsung website (Link to the PDF as well as screenshots) that explains all the Terms and Conditions of that offer. Check them out as they answer all your questions and concerns in both English and Arabic.
Benefits of the program:
First of all, having the Samsung Care+ is very important, I used it twice and highly recommend it honestly as it brings ease of mind, full coverage, especially for the screen:
- In 2021 when my Note 20 screen went dead:
https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Note/Note-20-Ultra-Dead-Screen-Repair/td-p/7617012
- In 2024 when I broke my S23 Ultra screen in half:
Second of all, it’s a 2 in 1 program that combines the Samsung Care+ warranty with a Conditional Buy Back which was previously known as the optional Tade-In program.
OLD Program:
- Free Samsung Care+ for 1 or 2 years.
- Optional trade in program with different buy back amounts depending on the state of the phone. (Grading system, details in the Terms and Conditions pasted below)
The previous Trade-In program used to be like this:

NEW Program:
- 1 year, AED 100 + VAT with an “Up to 60% guaranteed buyback” + 2 years of Samsung Care+
- 2 years, AED 150 + VAT with an “up to 40% guaranteed buyback” + 2 years of Samsung Care+
Here’s what you need to do and know in order to register starting February 4th:

Galaxy SSince Northladder is handling it now, it’ll be interesting to see if they streamline the process or if any pain points emerge.
Do you think Samsung’s shift to a guaranteed buyback model is better than the old flexible trade-in system, or does it limit users’ options?

Galaxy SGood morning, that's a really good question. Let me tell you about my case, i buy a new device on yearly basis, but i either keep the old one and use it as a secondary or backup phone, or have always a friend or relative that wants to buy back from me. The only time i used trade-in was when i sold the note 20 and shifted to the S series again. The MAIN reason i'm enrolling is for the 2 years of Samsung Care+, and the rest for me is just a cherry on top, because next year, if i'm selling it to a friend/relative, whoever is buying it will have 1 more year of warranty, which adds value to the device. If nobody wants to buy it from me, i know i have a guaranteed buy-back option available, and my devices are always a Grade A, so i know 60% of what i paid will be offered which will make the upgrade cheaper.
