Key enhancements from the previous generation's galaxy models include rich, vivid color expression and three-dimensional image quality. The resolution has been significantly improved with the introduction of four Tele Camera (Quad Tele) lenses, providing enhanced zoom capabilities at x2, x3, x5, and x10 magnifications. AI Zoom technology further elevates image quality during zooming.
Moreover, the camera ensures faster shooting experiences compared to previous models for instant memories and introduces enhanced features through the Downloadable Camera App, allowing for more diverse and creative filming opportunities.
The gallery experience is equally enriched with convenient editing options recommended by the system. Generative AI assists in editing scenes and compositions, offering a seamless editing experience across Galaxy devices equipped with Samsung Studio.

The S24 camera delivers natural and realistic colours based on consumer trends and expert advice. AI object recognition engines are applied to both front and back cameras, ensuring expert-level quality with enhanced detail and three-dimensionality.
2) Nightography Photo & Video
Night Solution's AI technology has been significantly strengthened with software improvements, enabling faster shooting and brighter, clearer night shots. When capturing night videos, the phone's movement information is utilized to distinguish between phone shake and subject movement. Additional noise removal treatments are applied to the background and moving subjects, enhancing overall noise removal performance.
3. Zoom
1) Space Zoom
Quad Tele enhances the resolution of the 1x to 10x zoom section, and AI Zoom improves the image quality beyond 10x by upscaling resolution reduced by digital zoom through AI learning. The zoom image quality for all sections from 1x to 100x is improved through Quad Tele and AI Zoom technology.
Supporting 3x and 5x optical zoom to capture clear images of distant objects, and providing optical quality crop zoom at 2x and 10x using high-resolution sensors. Video Super Resolution technology can be applied at a magnification of more than 1x when shooting a video, ensuring improved image quality at any magnification.
② Temporal Video Zoom
introducing the "Instant Slow-mo" function, allowing smooth playback of regular videos. Instead of simply slowing down playback speed, AI creates an interpolation frame between video frames for a seamlessly smooth slow-motion experience. This feature is applicable not only to videos taken but also to downloaded or shared videos. Additionally, you can edit/save the section after viewing and share it instantly.
4. Character
1) Portrait Mode
implementing a natural forward blur effect by learning from DSLR lenses based on AI.
2) Character Video Mode
Mimicking the effect of a video taken with a shallow-depth lens, gradual blur is implemented based on the distance from the subject. S24 Ultra utilizes two cameras to achieve a more natural front/rear blur effect.
Enhancement of Expert Experience
1) Video
Introduce a lens switching function during 4K 60fps recording, offering 5x zoom at 8K 30fps for a versatile video shooting experience. Additionally, support UHD 120fps for pro video. (Please note that this feature presently available in S24 Ultra only amongst the Galaxy S24 series.)
2) Expert RAW
Collaborate with nightography technology to enhance image quality and tone in low light. Improve basic resolution from 12MP to 24MP. Introduce the Digital ND filter, previously supported as a beta in S23, now officially provided, with an additional Auto mode. Utilize the multiple exposure function using images from the gallery.
3) Camera Assistant
Provide a DOF adapter correction function in Pro/Pro video mode when an external lens is attached, correcting the 180-degree image rotation phenomenon based on optical characteristics. Support anamorphic lens correction in pro video mode for a wider angle of view and unique flare effects. Introduce an audio monitoring function for real-time audio input monitoring.
6. High-Resolution
Apply a new 50MP sensor to the 5x telephoto lens, enhancing resolution and noise reduction. Improve the processing speed for 50MP/200MP high-resolution. (Please note that this feature presently available in S24 Ultra only amongst the Galaxy S24 series.)
7. Shooting Experience Enhancement
1) Motion Photo
Provide 3-second videos and photos of Motion Photo with consistent image quality. Introduce an editing function to transform missed moments into cover photos. Recommend long exposure effects for videos through the gallery editing suggestion function.
2) Single-Take
Offer various zoom magnifications (0.6x/1x/2x/3x/5x/10x) for preferred lens selection. Analyze real-time poses of people and pets, providing various edited videos such as Pet Best photos and slow motion.
3) Dual Recording
Rename the existing "Director’s View" to enable dual recording of any desired camera combination, such as front+rear or rear+rear. Provide separate storage for each lens, allowing simultaneous saving of images from different angles as mp4 files. (*S24 Ultra supports video recording in UHD resolution.*)
4) Hyperlapse
Hyperlapse Night 300x speed, initially introduced in S23, now supports additional ultra-wide-angle lenses and telephoto lenses.
8. Social Camera
Experience improved in-app camera image quality with high-performance S/W solution, along with H/W functions exclusive to Samsung cameras. When viewing photos and videos on social app cameras, enjoy richer camera quality with the Super HDR effect, currently available only on Instagram.
Gallery/Edit
1. Edit Suggestion
When you press the ⓘ button (details) on the photo or video you are viewing, applicable editing effects are recommended.
2. Generative Edit 1
Upon entering the photo editor, the generative editing button on the left provides scene editing and composition editing to fill in the external area by moving and deleting the subject.
3. Samsung Studio
You can adjust the video speed by specifying up to two areas in the desired section. Additionally, through "Export Project" or "Share Project," you can transfer the project you are working on between Galaxy devices or between devices and PC so that it can be edited on another device.
Downlodable App
1. Expert RAW
The basic resolution has been improved from 12MP to 24MP, and image quality and tone in low light have been improved through nightography technology collaboration.
In addition, Digital ND filter, which was supported as beta in previous S23, is officially provided and Auto mode is provided for user convenience.
Additionally, storage capacity has been reduced while maintaining image quality by providing JPEG XL format.
2. Enhance-X
It provides a camera change (Camera shift) feature that simulates the effect of a full-body photo taken by changing the camera position (flip, tilt, height adjustment) using AI, eliminating the hassle of physically changing the lens position. Additionally, a colorization function has been added, using AI algorithms to apply natural colors to black-and-white/grayscale images, estimating colors that match the image, bringing back the sense of color.
3. Camera Assistant
1) DOF Adapter Correction
It provides a DOF adapter correction function, allowing you to attach an external lens that compensates for the limitations of mobile lenses in pro/pro video mode.
2) Anamorphic Lens Correction
Pro Video Mode provides a correction function for the use of anamorphic lenses, offering wider angles of view and unique flare and bokeh effects in 16:9 video.
3) Audio Monitoring
It features an audio monitoring function that allows you to monitor audio input through the microphone in real-time.
4) Crop Zoom Button
An option to add a 10x/100x zoom button has been included. (Please note that this feature presently available in S24 Ultra only amongst the Galaxy S24 series.)
1Generative Edit requires a network connection and Samsung Account login. Editing with Generative Edit results in a resized photo up to 12MP. A visible watermark is overlaid on the image output upon saving in order to indicate that the image is generated by AI. The accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed.
The more you are improving new devices camera's the more you are degrading and making older devices worse day by day with each update. Shame on you and your Galaxy Shame line up.
Hi Members , I recently bought the samsung s24 Ultra . I was an avid samsung user ,from s3, s7edge, s9plus,s20 and then switched to iphone cus samsung felt not different from iphone after they took off sd cards, earphone jack and chargers and after contemplating and thinking i made a decision to switch back to samsung and i am regretting the camera feels so laggy , the processing is **bleep** , and clarity issues phone heats up randomly. I really regret getting back to samsung that to with high expectation . Spending 1300 dollars for a phone that dosent give you the satisfaction . I hope samsung is listening. Please fix these issues . And the display i feel like is a downgrade and camera also feels cheap
IDK, if the said improvements are actually working as I see quality lag in photos clicked by S24 from those taken from S23. The images are blurred, noisy and less sharp. It could be due to optimization or samsung could have actually degraded the hardware. Technical experts will be able to review it better. But the team at Samsung should check it meticulously.
Sorry to say S24 ultra is inferior in zoom specially beyond 10x. S23 ultra produces sharper and clear image specially when you click a sign board etc you would notice S23 ultra gives much clear image of the alphabets. I have S23 ultra,S22 ultra and Now s24 ultra with me .
