How to use Internet on a Galaxy smartphone using ethernet/LAN? Here is is below - 

1. Connect your phone to an ethernet cable using USB-C to USB to ethernet converter. Picture below. 

2. You would get a pop up saying "Ethernet connected" and a hidden ethernet setting under network becomes accessible. The device should take up the IP automatically via DHCP. Else it can be configured via the ethernet settings. 

3. Internet works completely fine with the device even in flight mode.

You can also use Internet by connecting to a  wifi network in flight mode.

Internet connection works fine, BUT phone calls/Text messages are no longer working when connected to Ethernet cable.
