How to reactivate NowBar for sports if live notification cleared mistakenly

I think I figured this out.

So, I accidentally cleared the live IPL notification today, and the Now bar disappeared.

To get the sports Now bar back, I did this:

• Settings -> Lockscreen and AOD -> Now Bar.
• Toggle the switch for Sports from Google off, and deselect sports interests in my Google account.
• Turn Sports from Google back on and re-select all my sports interests on my Google account.

The Now Bar reappeared starting with the next game.

Give this a try if someone has accidentally cleared the sports live notification and unable to get the Now Bar for sports back.
