How to connect portable hard disk to Samsung S8

I am not  able to connect portable hard disk  to my Samsung  s8. If anyone  knows the solution  please advice  me.

Dear Mohammed, i already tried with OTG cable which is provided by Wsetern Digital it's not working. Is there any settings to change

I think you need to install a file explorer.

I tried that also..but still i can't connect

Can your hear the disk rotating sound after connecting?

Then that's a good sign. It means disk is getting enough power.

I think the mobile phone can not supply the enough power to the portable hard disk, it is my guess !
