Galaxy SI'm a pilot, amateur radio operator, and amateur seismologist. All of these fields use UTC time for coordinating activities and time reporting across time zones, so I want easy access to a display of current UTC time. I have a Galaxy S24 phone, and a Galaxy 6 Watch. I can use the World TIme app on the phone and watch to provide a constant display of any city's time on my watch, using a watch face that supports a complication that will support World Time. That's almost what I need.
But the World Time app doesn't support UTC. It only supports the display of time in an actual city.
Because of daylight saving time rules, London only uses UTC for part of the year. Currently, Dakar and Reykjavik happen to use UTC year-round, but that could change at the whim of politicians in those areas. Furthermore, I'd really prefer my UTC time display to be labelled "UTC" and not the name of a city.
Could you add a pretend city, called "UTC", to the database of cities supported by the World Time app, such that it was guaranteed to display the time in UTC year-round? Perhaps you could put it in the middle of the ocean at latitude 0, longitude 0, so that it would be easy enough to select on the map, but it wouldn't be confused with any real city.
Alternatively, could you provide us with a way of editing the city database so that I could add UTC myself?

Galaxy SFrom date time settings, disable automatic time zone. This should allow you to manually select time zone.
From select time zone screen, tap on the 3 dots on the top right. You will find Select by UTC offset option.

Galaxy SThanks. That would probably be acceptable if I ONLY wanted UTC, but I still live in a particular local city, and sometimes travel to other cities, so I still want my primary time display to be in local time as it currently is, with automatic switching between summer time and winter time, as appropriate. I just want a secondary display that will always be in UTC.
But thanks for putting thought into this.

Galaxy SFor clarity, here's an example of a screenshot from my Galaxy 6 Watch. It has my local time of 11:57:03 at the center. That local time automatically changes when I travel to different time zones, as well as changing between summer and winter time. It is perfect for my purposes. My watch also has the time in Dakar in the lower right. Dakar has used UTC for several years, with no daylight saving time, and perhaps it will continue to do so for a very long time. But I would prefer to have that display labeled "UTC" instead of "Dakar", and I would prefer that it always remain at UTC even if the government of Dakar decides to change their time zone for some reason in the future.
