The horizontal line on your Samsung S21 FE's screen after the October update can be frustrating. Let's explore possible causes and solutions:
*Hardware-Related Issues*
1. *Screen Damage*: Physical damage to the screen can cause horizontal lines. Inspect your screen for any signs of damage.
2. *Loose Connections*: Verify that all internal connections, such as the screen connector, are secure.
*Software-Related Issues*
1. *Update Glitch*: The October update might have caused a glitch. Try restarting your phone in Safe Mode.
2. *Cache Issues*: Clear the system cache (Settings > Storage > Internal Storage > Cache) and wipe the cache partition (recovery mode).
3. *Firmware Issues*: If the issue persists, consider downgrading or re-flashing the firmware.
*Display Settings*
1. *Screen Resolution*: Ensure the screen resolution is set to its default value (Settings > Display > Screen resolution).
2. *Display Zoom*: Check if Display Zoom is enabled (Settings > Display > Display zoom).
*Advanced Troubleshooting*
1. *Boot in Safe Mode*: Restart your phone in Safe Mode to isolate third-party app issues.
2. *Perform a Factory Reset*: If all else fails, consider performing a factory reset (Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset).
*Samsung Support*
1. *Visit Samsung Support Website*: Check the Samsung support website for any known issues or software updates.
2. *Contact Samsung Customer Support*: Reach out to Samsung customer support for further assistance or to schedule a repair.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem. You may want to visit a Samsung authorized service center for further diagnosis and repair.
