Hi Members,

Is any one experiencing heating issues pos recent update of samsung oneUI 6.1. I updated my phone 2 days back and post that my phone is getting extremely hot from the top mid and charging port area.

Keep your phone charger on the table or solid area do not put on the bed
Hope next update will fix this problem

It sounds like the update might be causing some issues with power management. You can try a few things to see if it helps:

1. Clear Cache Partition: Restart your phone in recovery mode and clear the cache partition. This can help resolve any software glitches caused by the update.


2. Safe Mode Test: Boot your phone in safe mode to check if a third-party app is causing the heating issue. If it doesn’t heat up in safe mode, an app might be the culprit.


3. Check Background Apps: Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care and see if any apps are using excessive battery or running in the background more than usual after the update.


4. Software Fix: Keep an eye out for a patch or hotfix from Samsung. If the issue persists, it might be worth reporting this to Samsung directly through the Members app so they’re aware.

We regret to hear about your experience with our product. Please believe that this is not a usual occurrence.

Please perform the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps, these may help in resolving your concern.

1. Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.
2. Decrease the screen brightness.
3. Close background running apps.
4. Uninstall the unnecessary apps.
5. Reduce long duration of graphics intensive gaming sessions as it may cause heating issue.
6. Avoid usage of mobile phone when charging.

7. Update software: Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install > Checking for software update > Software update available > Tap on Download > Downloading updates > Tap on Install now.
Note: Your phone will restart after the update is installed.

8. If the issue is still not been resolved, Reset the device:
IMPORTANT:
• Kindly create data backup of your device via SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
• Remember google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
• If you do not remember it, then reset, (Forgot password) your google account.
• For this:
• Open Gmail (https://accounts.google.com/servicelogin) > forgot password >Select ""try another way"" > Next > Enter a new password > Next.

Please follow the below steps to reset the device:
Settings > General Management > Reset > Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup > tap on Factory data reset (This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps)

If the issue persists, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.

Kindly complaint to Samsung customer support through Samsung Members App as error report also send log files Along with this error report for this issue and wait for next update may be fix it by Samsung team soon.
