Galaxy SThe issue is with the cable that connects to the display and board it somehow gets damaged during the updating procedure. Any way they found a way to force user to upgrade to the newer phone.
Samsung is becoming the use and throw phone manufacturer.
Use it, Any problem, Throw it and buy new one.
Also I have noticed many users have this issue after it becomes out of warranty.
