Galaxy S
Although Samsung’s camera hardware on its most recent lines of flagships is exceptional, its camera software isn’t nearly as good as it could potentially be. Luckily, the Google Camera mod is an easy way to bring the ultra-powerful computational photography of Google Pixel smartphones to your Samsung device.
With the new update for the Google Camera mod out now (via XDA Developers), Samsung device owners can be in even more control of their photos by controlling which aperture to use when taking a photo
You do not need to root or modify your Galaxy device in any way to install the Google Camera mod, other than enable APK installs from third-party sources. Along with allowing users to manually switch from one aperture to another, the Google Camera 6.2 update also brings in the following features: A toggle to hide or unhide advanced settings Works even without Google Apps installed. Top Shot now works with Google Photos even on non-Pixel devices. A new selfie flash, which changes the background color of the display to white while taking selfies in low-light. An option to mute the shutter sound (certain locations only). The Google Camera mod is available free of charge at the link below. The developers of the app also accept donations for their work if you feel inclined to give. More information on this is available at the XDA forums.
