Google Assistant not working

I use the Galaxy A34 5G, and the Google Assistant just randomly stopped working one day and I've tried just about everything to fix it, but it still won't work. "Hey Google" just opens the Google app, and so does tapping on the Assistant App and pressing and holding the home button. It's quite annoying. 

Who's got a fix?

Also, I just got access to that Circle to Search feature, but I can't access it (presumably because the Assistant is not working).

Who has an A Series phone and can use Circle to Search? 🤔 Because it was trying to walk me through the tutorial, but it wouldn't activate

I have an A Series phone, it don't have circle to search but it has tap to search.

On the Google app, open a web page, then tap on any word on the page, a page will pop up at the bottom of the screen, swipe it up to see search results based on the tapped word.
