Galaxy S8 Android 10 update.

So I've been receiving notifications on my S8 almost everyday from Samsung, advising me to upgrade to S10, just so I can enjoy the latest features. I agree on that.

The problem is when you cannot even provide OS updates to your top-line smartphones that every other small scale mobile company also does, how can you expect us to upgrade to your latest smartphone? Yes I know already that Samsung only provides two major OS updates, but this is not how a capable flagship device should be treated. This was my first Samsung smartphone, and seeing it not come in the list of phones to be upgraded to android 10, it might be my last.

Any other users out there who feel the same? I guess everyone does.

I know that buddy, I was only referring to the "two major update" clause.

I would request you not to pre-judge. There are some evidences that S8 Series and Note8 could receive Android 10 Update. Note 8 was found with running Android 10 and it is officially posted on Geekbench website. As far as Ads of Upgrade go, you can just uncheck receive marketing information at the beginning of accepting the aggreement. I am sure that Samsung is thinking of changing two year major update policy, atleast for its top line of devices.

I hope they do that. Otherwise, I think they'll be losing a lot of users. I was always a Samsung fan just because of the camera, but abandoning good phones and focusing only on launching new phones isn't a solution I guess.

well even in the past, older flagships have been tested with newer os, there's no way of finding out what sort of an official build it is or if it's something with a tweaked build.prop, I do hope they increase the major updates to 3 for s/note and higher end A devices like the a80

I too feel the same... just looking on to Samsung's biggest competitor apple... that company also gives update until and unless the device become incapable... even the cheap android devices from other brands also receive fast and regular updates... with more os updates...

Yes, everyone knows Apple is their main competitor in the market. Even iPhone SE and 6s got iOS 13 update, 6s being released in 2015 ! I want Samsung to just take a hint on this.
