My Honest 6-Week Review of the Samsung S25 Ultra

I was lucky enough to snag the 512GB version for the price of 256GB during prebooking, and after six weeks of daily use, I can confidently say—it was absolutely worth it.

What Stood Out for Me

Design That Feels Just Right

The squared-off edges make it surprisingly comfortable to hold, and the phone feels much lighter than expected. Whether I’m on long calls or out capturing moments, that weight reduction really makes a difference. The camera rings may not be for everyone, but I personally love how they help distinguish the S25 Ultra from the previous model.

One UI 7 + AI = An Absolute Gamechanger

I’ve never felt so in control of my phone’s customization. Samsung’s Good Lock app is a must-have for tweaking every aspect of the UI, and AI-powered tools like writing assistance, photo eraser, and circle to search have become part of my daily routine. The Now Bar and Now Brief are a nice touch, though I’d love to see more third-party app support. The AI integration doesn’t feel gimmicky—it actually adds real value to the experience.

A Display That’s Just Too Good

Samsung really nailed the anti-reflective coating this time—it helps a ton outdoors, letting me save battery by not cranking up the brightness. The extra dim mode at night is another underrated feature that’s super easy on the eyes. Pro tip: Use the QHD+ setting. It brings out the best in the display with almost no hit on battery life. The bezels are barely there, making the 6.9" screen a treat for content consumption.

Cameras That Impress in Every Condition

The 5x portrait shots genuinely feel DSLR-like, and the seamless zoom slider makes recording videos smoother than ever. The 200MP sensor isn’t just a numbers game—I've used its photos as wallpapers on my 32" 4K monitor, and they look phenomenal. Low-light and indoor ultrawide shots have also improved massively thanks to the new 50MP upgrade.

Performance, Battery & Charging—No Complaints Here

The S25 Ultra handles everything effortlessly—whether it’s gaming, multitasking, or using AI-heavy features. Even with heavy use, I consistently get 9-10 hours of screen-on time. Gaming is buttery smooth with no overheating or throttling, even at max settings.

Charging-wise, 25W is more than enough for my routine. I just plug it in when I wake up, and by the time I’m ready to leave, it’s fully charged.

7 Years of Software Updates? That’s Huge.

Knowing I’ll get seven years of OS updates is a huge plus. Future-proofing at its finest.

A Few Things That Could Be Better

  • Camera shutter lag is still there at times, so I often switch to Pro mode for instant captures.
  • Would love to see carbon-silicone batteries in the next model—battery tech is evolving, and Samsung should stay ahead.
  • The phone gets warm with 45W charging, so I just stick with 25W, which works well for me.
  • Older SPens aren’t compatible, which is a bit disappointing.

Final Verdict

The positives far outweigh the minor drawbacks. The Samsung S25 Ultra is an absolute powerhouse, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best Android experience. No regrets at all—I’m beyond happy with my purchase!
