I've been Seeing Many Users Complaining about the issue with Fingerprint Scanner which works like 5 or 6 out 10 times. When I Purchased S10 lite i faced same problem for a month. Then I tried something unconventional to make the fingerprint scanner more Accurate to detect my finger.
I firstly Registered my Right Thumb Finger on Fingerprint Scanner "Vertically". Again I Registered same finger on the Scanner "Horizontally". Now it is more reliable and works for me like 8 or 9 out of 10 times.Try it once and let me know the result.
I bought s10lite on 11th nov 2020 , I faced this problem while registering my finger print & today suddenly my finger print sensor stop working...now after doing this & that it has started.its really not expected
