I'm writing to share my experience after the recent One UI 7.0 update (Build: S928BXXU4BYD9) on my Galaxy S24 Ultra.
First of all, I appreciate the continuous improvements and security updates, but unfortunately, this recent update has introduced several serious issues that have impacted the overall experience:
1. Battery Drain & Overheating:
Since the update, the battery life has drastically reduced, even on idle. The phone gets noticeably warm during normal usage – browsing, calls, and even when using the camera for a few minutes.
2. Performance Lag:
The phone, which used to be buttery smooth, now lags while switching apps and during animations. This is unexpected from a flagship device.
3. Camera Quality Drop:
Post-update, the camera takes longer to process images, especially in low light. There's more noise in night shots, and colors don’t feel as vibrant anymore.
4. Connectivity Issues:
I’ve experienced unstable 5G connectivity and occasional call drops. The network signal fluctuates more often now, especially on Airtel.
5. Privacy Concern – Secure Folder Bug:
I was shocked to see private images from Secure Folder appearing in auto-created Stories in the Gallery app. This is a major privacy issue that needs immediate attention.
6. UI Glitches:
The new UI changes feel rushed. Some widgets behave oddly, notification panel animations stutter, and the overall polish of the interface is lacking.
Please take this feedback seriously. We invest in flagship phones with the expectation of a stable, premium experience. I request the development team to roll out a quick hotfix addressing these concerns or give users the option to roll back the update until a stable version is released.
I came here to share the same issue in my s24 ultra.. Now, I need to charge my phone 2-3 times a day and it drains even when idle Creating a very bad experience while using 😕
Even the function like auto lock everytime leaving the app - doesn't work all the time. They've really messed up with this update. They wanted to be like Apple so much, that they missed the essence of being Samsung.
