I don't know if these are in the roadmap. Still I would love to have these features in My S9. - Digital wellbeing in pie - Routines based on NFC tags - NFC unlock. Google has removed this from smartlock, but I find this very useful.
It is as secure as unlocking with Bluetooth and location under smart lock. Google's explanation for removing nfc is that people are not using it. It is very convenient especially with rear mounted fingerprint sensors and for people wearing gloves.
