I just switched to an S26 Ultra from another mid-range Android phone, and here are some things I'm missing:
1. Caffine mode
Caffine mode keeps your screen on longer temporarily, which is super handy when you're reading something. I used to have a quick settings button that would cycle between 5 min, 10 min, and off. When the screen turned off, either by me or by timing out, it would go back to my original setting, like 30 seconds.
2. Notification cooldown
To stop those annoying multiple notifications from instant messaging apps when you get a bunch of short messages, an OS-level cooldown feature would be great. It would make sure an app only plays a notification sound (or vibrates) once within a certain time, say 10 minutes, after the last one.
3. Autoload UPI Lite on Wallet
Samsung Wallet is awesome for payments, and it supports UPI Lite. I load UPI Lite with a certain amount, and eventually, it runs out. Then it switches back to regular UPI unless I manually top it up again. I'd love for UPI Lite to auto-top up when the balance drops below a certain amount to make it seamless.
4. Wallpaper picker photo effects on Gallery
The wallpaper picker has some cool quick features like changing the background, frames, and colors, which aren't available in the Gallery. I wish I could save my current wallpaper to the Gallery or easily apply similar effects to any photo.
5. Work apps enablement/disablement
You can't disable work apps from the app launcher. I'd love a "Disable" button in the work apps launcher section to quickly turn them off. Even when they're disabled, the launcher stays in the work apps section instead of switching to personal apps.
6. Inability to view battery usage for a particular time period
I want to figure out which apps drained 5% of my battery between 1 pm and 4 pm when I wasn't even using my phone.
7. Non-functional mouse/trackpad in Wireless Dex while using Windows PC as monitor
Keyboard input works, but the mouse/trackpad doesn't. I want to use wireless Dex with my PC for certain tasks on a big screen with mouse/keyboard support. Wired Dex works fine with them.
8. Improvements for Routines:
I think this topic needs its own dedicated thread because I have so much feedback. Maybe another day!
It would be awesome if the Samsung team consider these feature requests.
