Galaxy S
The "S" in Samsung's Galaxy S series originally stood for "Super Smart."
When the first Samsung Galaxy S was launched in 2010, the "S" was intended to highlight its advanced features and capabilities compared to other smartphones available at the time. It signified a premium and high-performing device.
While Samsung hasn't explicitly reiterated this meaning in recent years, the Galaxy S series has consistently represented their flagship smartphone line, embodying cutting-edge technology, innovative features, and top-tier performance. So, the legacy of "Super Smart" still aligns with the positioning of the S series in the market.

Galaxy S
It could mean any feature, virtue or quality that's key ingredient of flagship phones, but it essentially had to be "S" named since it resonates and reflects 'S'amsung's supremacy or superiority in high-end Android smartphones market!
