How to enable edge lighting on S8 in android pie for phone calls or playing music. Share screenshots showing how to enable it.

I dont think there is a way to do that. I have note 8, and have Android pie. I can only set the edge lighting for notifications.

Bro then why samsung show off these features if they don't able to maintain these features. Its sad while listening to music edge lighting was a great feature.

quite honestly, I have never even used that feature. I happened to get note 8 just a few days ago, and I haven't seen that feature as the first thing I did was upgrade my phone to latest one UI which I happen to love.

what exactly used to happen in edge lighting while playing music?

When you play music as in my case i was using Samsung music app the edge lighting glows from every side of the screen. Man it was cool that looks beautiful but sadly thats gone. Even when your phone rings (when someone is calling you) the colourful edge lighting was there.

that is terrible! what a shame to miss such a cool feature. :( I hope they bring it back gradually. I think because of OneUI, certain features have been lost. with feedback, they will bring them back.
like in split screen option for note, there used to be an option to flip the apps. like, the app on top would come down and the app that was down would go to the top. now they removed it.
it is just an example. but such little things make a lot of difference for the people who used them a lot.

these feature are removed intentionally by Samsung even in my s9 dont have these features after pie
