Galaxy SHere, you may set your desired folder as default download location, or you can optin for 'Ask where to Save Files' each time where you will be asked to choose download location/folder.
2. Recent file just shows files you recently opend. Deleting from recent list will delet only your original file, and it does not occupy additional space.
Shown Recent file's not duplicate of files, rather than, shortcut view of your orginal files that's been used recently.
