Hello,

I recently encountered a frustrating issue with my Samsung S24 Plus involving a grainy display when the brightness is set to low. Believing this to be a defect, I took the device to a Samsung service center for inspection. To my surprise, I was informed that this is a "normal" behavior present in all S24 Plus devices they had, implying it was a standard characteristic of the model.

However, I find this explanation unsatisfactory. I compared the S24 Plus with my previous model, the S23 Plus, under the same conditions and noticed that the latter does not exhibit this grainy screen issue. Furthermore, I tested a much cheaper Android phone with an AMOLED screen, which also did not show any graininess at low brightness levels.

This situation is both annoying and disappointing. The expectation from a brand like Samsung, especially when purchasing a premium device like the S24 Plus, is to receive a product that excels in quality and performance across all aspects, including the display. If this graininess is indeed a "feature" of the S24 Plus, it marks a significant step back in display quality, contrary to the progression one would expect with a new generation model.

I am reaching out to the community to see if anyone else has encountered this issue and to raise awareness. It's essential for Samsung to address and rectify such shortcomings, especially when they impact the user experience to this extent. Feedback from other users and any potential fixes or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this is related to the new anti reflective display.
There are some discussion in reddit.
