Hello, Samsung

I am currently using the Galaxy S24 Ultra and have encountered some concerns regarding its battery performance. While I take great care to maintain my phone's battery, never letting it drop below 20%, I experienced an issue today that I feel needs attention.

This morning, I went for a walk with my phone at 14% battery. Within 45–50 minutes, without any significant usage, the phone powered off completely. This unexpected shutdown caused inconvenience as I couldn’t purchase groceries upon returning from the walk.

As a former iPhone user, I noticed that their devices could sustain functionality for longer even at very low battery levels (2–3%), often lasting over an hour. In contrast, the S24 Ultra seems to underperform in this regard.

Given the competitive nature of the flagship smartphone market, I urge you to consider improving the performance of the battery’s lower percentage range in upcoming software updates. A reliable battery is crucial, especially for users relying on their devices throughout the day.

And please don't give me generic response like to visit service center and all. I know its happening with almost every Samsung phone. So its not only issue with me. Its your software problem.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing future updates that address this issue.

Note: Power saving mode was enabled automatically from 15%

Kind regards,
Ravi

To increase the battery performance of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, consider the following strategies:

Adjust Display Settings:

Lower Screen Resolution: Changing from QHD+ to FHD+ can significantly reduce battery consumption. Navigate to Settings > Display > Screen Resolution and select FHD+ (2340 x 1080) for a balance between quality and battery life.

Reduce Refresh Rate: If your usage doesn't require it, lowering the refresh rate from 120Hz can save battery. Go to Settings > Display > Motion Smoothness and select Standard.

Dim the Screen: Lowering the brightness or using adaptive brightness can extend battery life. Access this through Settings > Display > Brightness or toggle Adaptive Brightness on.

Manage Background Apps and Notifications:

Close Unused Apps: Ensure apps are not running in the background unnecessarily. You can manually close them or use the device's RAM management settings.

Limit Notifications: Reduce battery drain by minimizing notifications or setting priority notifications to prevent unnecessary screen wake-ups.

Use Battery Saving Features:

Power Saving Mode: Activate this from Settings > Battery > Power saving. It can reduce CPU speed, turn off 5G, and lower screen brightness to save battery.

Light Performance Mode: This mode can be enabled to enhance battery life by reducing processing speed without impacting most daily activities. Go to Settings > Device care > Performance profile > Light.

Battery Protection: Setting this to "Maximum" helps manage overcharging and battery wear. Navigate to Settings > Battery > Battery protection > Maximum.

Thanks for the response, but it does not make any sense. As previously mentioned, the power saving mode was ON, implying that the refresh rate was already at 60hz.

I always use Extra dim, FHD resolution, and 4G network. Almost all applications in the deep sleep mode, which means they will not run in the background.

The only concern is that the last 14% is not providing the expected backup. Prior to reaching 14%, the battery backup was satisfactory. However, once it drops to 14%, it is not providing even a 1 hour backup.

This is a common issue for Samsung. I am currently using a total of four Samsung devices at home. The same issue is occurring on all devices. The S24 ultra is a flagship device, so it was not anticipated to occur on this device. It seems that Samsung is not focusing on this issue. This is a very old issue. Every YouTube user is also experiencing the same.

I have already done that, however, Samsung is not considered a priority when it comes to user feedback. They always say visit service center 🙄

This is my suggestion to Samsung, to consider the feedback provided by its users. Samsung should consider taking into account the feedback provided by users. This issue with the battery has been a persistent issue for many users, who have voiced their concerns, but it has not been resolved. The same scenario applies to animations as well. Let's see how OneUi 7 will enhance the smoothness of animations.
