New phone box will be sealed with a tamper proof sticker. Did the shopkeeper cut the sticker in front of you ?. If yes, then it is genuine.
Register your phone. If your phone is new it will allow registration.
Examine the phone for usage. minor scratches, paint fades etc.

To verify if your S24 Ultra is a brand-new device or refurbished, follow these steps:
Check the Packaging and Accessories
1. *Verify the seal*: Ensure the packaging is sealed and hasn't been tampered with.
2. *Check the accessories*: Confirm that all original accessories, such as the charger, earbuds, and manual, are included and have not been used.
Inspect the Device
1. *Look for any signs of wear*: Check for scratches, dents, or other physical damage.
2. *Verify the screen protector*: If the screen protector is already applied, check if it's the original one or a third-party protector.
Check the Device's Software and Settings
1. *Check the Android version*: Ensure the device is running the latest Android version.
2. *Verify the device's serial number*: Go to Settings > About phone > Status > Serial number. Check if the serial number matches the one on the packaging or invoice.
Check for Refurbished or Used Status
1. *Check the device's IMEI number*: Dial *#06# to display the IMEI number. You can then check the IMEI number on websites like Swappa or CheckMEND to see if the device has been previously used or refurbished.
2. *Check Samsung's website*: Visit Samsung's website and enter the device's serial number to check its warranty status and see if it's been previously registered.
Additional Tips
1. *Check the warranty*: Verify the warranty period and conditions with the seller or Samsung's website.
2. *Ask the seller*: If you're still unsure, ask the seller directly if the device is brand new or refurbished.
By following these steps, you should be able to determine if your S24 Ultra is a brand-new device or refurbished.
