Can we have tap to pop-up rather than split screen from edge panel

I'm talking about launching apps from edge panel, we have the option of launching app in split screen mode by just tapping, but having tap functionality for pop-view would be so much better. Or let user choose what tap does, pop-up or split screen.

Opening calculator, notes in a pop-up view is so much useful everyday. Split screen leads to app refreshes sometimes and also splits the main content which is a hassle.

Tap & Hold the app for 3 seconds and then dragging it to the middle of screen for pop-up view is not ideal for frequent users like me.

Please give us this feature/option Samsung 🙏🏻

Have you tried swipe for pop-up view in settings?
Or try Multistar Goodlock module.(Enable the setting like the screenshot in this app)

But that would be switching apps which might reload my main app and also won't work for gesture based navigation.

Just saw, Oneplus has this setting default. Tap to open app in pop-up view (from edge panel), which makes more sense to me.
