Camera quality

Hello fellow Samsung users.

I need some serious help with my S20 FE 5g camera. I purchased this phone very recently solely for its camera quality but it seems to be disappointing. There is very little sharpness in pictures and the selfie camera is pathetic. It makes my face too smooth and there's no sharpness. Looks like oil painting. Can anyone please help?

Also, how to switch among the 3 rear cameras?

Bought recently s20fe 5g during Amazon sale. My data speeds in s20fe5g is pretty slow comparing it to my A51. A51 seems faster and data speeds are very smooth with no jitter and lag. But in S20Fe5g data speeds are jittery. It stops in between. Sometimes for almost a minute. Used both Airtel and Jio sim but results are the same. Is there carrier aggregation in s20fe5g. Also surprisingly screen brightness seems lower than my a51. Does other users in this group have similar issues.

Perhaps you expected too much of a mobile camera. I did the same. But at the end of the day these are just mobile cameras; if you zoom in too much in a mobile camera image those will not look good. However, you can turn off scene optimizer and auto hdr for better results.

Oil painting? You are definitely over exaggerating. State the issue truthfully if you want help from people here.
S20fe is arguably the best camera phone you can get under 40k. If you are not satisfied with it,you wouldn't have been satisfied with anything in that budget.
Nb: Yes the selfie cam is avg, especially for the price.
You don't know to switch between different lens? There are 3 tree icons on the bottom. The 3 trees are for wide angle,2 for 1x and one tree for zoom.
I suggest you to watch any youtube video to guide you through the basic settings.

Or you can check mine also. Most of the pics in my profile are from A52S5G. However the s20fe takes slightly better photos with the main cam and much, much better zoomed shots. So again you can get an idea.

Thank you so much for taking out time to reply. I agree that I exaggerated about the oil painting stuff. I expected way too much from the selfie cam. But after 5-7 clicks, it seems fine now.
I downloaded Gcam and now the selfies are great.
And as you said, zoomed shots are superior in the stock as compared to Gcam.

Anytime bro... yup the cam improves after 1 or 2 updates and when you optimise the settings by clearing the filters etc.

Well I had the same question whether Samsung purposefully degraded the camera or the selfie camera had the same performance since the launch. Only answer I could get was Samsung had broken the Night Mode feature in Android 12 for S20fe. Whereas the Selfie Camera performance remained like that only.
To fix your Selfie Camera issues you can install Gcam which gave better performance in selfies and other areas too!
