Wait for future updates from samsung, As of now, S22 Ultra have multiple issues like Automatically pressing Home button while using some of the application i.e. Samaung Note App. I am sure samsung will resolve each and every issue in its future updates like the one released today for May security.
Rest, I am totally agree with you that these kinds of issues should be checked before releasing the device to end customer.

Let me try by visiting a Samsung store as the issue is not common, it may be faulty device.

Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung customer support.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.

1. Clean the lens:
Dust or debris can interfere with autofocus. Clean the lens with a soft, dry, lint-free, cloth.

2. Turn off Tracking AF:
In the Camera's viewfinder, tap the Settings button. Tap the switch next to Tracking auto-focus to turn it off.

3. Reset the camera:
If the camera still isn't focusing, you should try resetting the camera to its default settings. Tap the Settings gear, and then scroll down and tap Reset settings.

4. Make sure your software is up to date:
Performing a software update can resolve issues and problems with apps, including your camera.

5. Listen to the lens:
The focus on the camera is controlled by a tiny mechanism. Some slight clicking and whirring are normal, but if you hear any grinding, your device may require service.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).

Thank you for writing to us.
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support.
