Benefits and drawbacks of turning off fast charging

Hi am using samsung galaxy s25 ultra and wanted to know if turning off fast charging would enhance battery life and can use fast charging in cases when I don't have time. Please note that am using a 45 watt samsung charger and cable from samsung.

The effect on battery life will be negligible. To prevent overheating, ensure the mobile device is not subjected to excessive heat; battery degradation is primarily caused by overheating. Therefore, disconnect the charger if the device feels warm to the touch. 🙏

Benfits:
When charging device from lowest percentage like 5 or below till 90%. Charging go fast with 45w charging, It saves lot time.

Drawbacks:

If you are not charging device in cooler environment like AC / cooler room specially in summers in india. Device charging go slow despite being super fast 2.0 45w charging capable. In that case battery health get affected.

Talking about long run, like 2-3 years. Whether you use 45W charging or 25w charging. The battery health goes down. As with time efficiency goes down (Physics says).

Also i suggest to charge device from 1 % ( when at home) or (when travelling charge at any percentage) to 100% and use the device at its full potential.

U can use fast charging without worries.
One important point to keep in mind is always keep the option of battery protection on. See the screenshot attached.
