It is recommended to use auto brightness to get good battery back up.

Whether you should switch off auto brightness to save battery depends on your usage.

Ideally, auto-brightness is a battery-saving feature. However, if you always use your phone in dim lighting (less than 30%), keeping the auto-brightness feature off will save more battery.

Nevertheless, this can be very stressful for your eyes.

Hello,

Please note that you don't have to do that, however, yes it does save battery.

Ive had my previous note8 it has screen burning with red line inside.as per Samsung Technician they said that its because of using brightness on the screen so they suggest me to turn off the auto screen brightness because it cause of screen burning. So since I got my note 20 ultra i never use auto brightness.. then now Im using S23ultra and still refuse to use the auto brightness.. 😅 and yes it saves battery alot.... 😊
